"STORM": a short timelapse film I put together from sequences captured on November 6, 2015 at Hatcher's Pass during a geomagnetic storm. The power, majestic beauty, pure awesomeness from these events will never cease to amaze me.
I was lucky to get this footage that night as this was the only hole in an cloud ceiling that covered most of Alaska from the peninsula to the slope. After trying several locations around the Mat-Su valley only to be disappointed by excessive cloud cover, I found a nice hole in the sky at Hatcher's Pass; the sky remained open for the rest of the evening.
